We created this privacy policy (the “Policy”) to explain how we collect, use and disclose your information when you access the Site and use the Services. By accessing the site, utilizing any of the services and/or registering with us, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this policy, including our terms of service, which are incorporated herein by reference.

CogCon will use the information as submitted by you and you are therefore solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all Personal Information you submit to CogCon.
We collect and store all Personal Information you voluntarily submit to us through registering with the Site or uploading or posting User Content through the Site or Services. If you are signed into a third-party account such as your Twitter or Facebook account and you “like” or “comment” on CogCon Content (such as the articles found on our blog) or other User Content, your Twitter or Facebook username will be displayed and so available to the public. You agree that your username, likes, feedback, and any associated comments may become public information; we therefore urge you to exercise caution when deciding to disclose any Personal Information on the Site or through the Services.
Non-Personal Information: Cookies and Other Technologies
We may utilize cookies and other technologies to recognize you, customize your experience, and serve advertisements. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system. We may also use cookies enable advertisers and ad servers to promote third party products and/or services by placing advertisements on CogCon. These advertisers and ad servers may use cookies and/or web beacons to monitor information related to served advertisements. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you.
We may also use "Web beacons" that monitor your use of our Services. Web beacons (or Web bugs) are small strings of code that provide a method for delivering a graphic image on a Web page for the purpose of transferring data, such as the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the Web beacon appears, the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of the page on which the Web beacon appears, the time the page containing the Web beacon was viewed, the types of browser that fetched the Web beacon and the identification number of any cookie on the computer previously placed by that server.
When we correspond with you via HTML capable e-mail, Web beacons let us know whether you received and opened our e-mail. On their own, cookies or Web beacons do not contain or reveal any personally identifiable information. However, if you choose to furnish personally identifiable information, this information can be linked to the data stored in the cookies/Web beacons.
Overall, cookies and web beacons help us provide you with a better website by enabling us to monitor which pages and services you find useful and which you do not. A cookie or web beacon in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website. You may also visit Network Advertising Initiative’s Opt-Out Tool and the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Opt-Out Tool for information on how you can opt out of behavioral tracking on this website and how we respond to web browser signals and other mechanisms that enable consumers to exercise choice about behavioral tracking.
